Dodgy phone cable kills my DSL

A dodgy 20 year old phone cable took down my DSL yesterday. Hence the lack of blogging yesterday.

I am not a fan of bad cables under the house!!! I am paying for 1.5 Mb speed for my net and am only getting stupid speeds as low as 80 Kb/s!!!

any suggestions?
