re: Why do I blog? Let me count the ways?
I often blog because I need to forget about something. Often, it works: people will be searching for something, read my weblog entry, and then IM me saying "I really liked your article on the electoral system", and I usually have to ask them to give me the link, because I wrote about it so that I could get whatever idea I had out of my brain.
I also found out that I could make friends through blogging, and wrote in an email to a friend recently "Making friends is hard for everybody. It takes time. And luck. And for me, a weblog."
