I still think this recipe is too complicated. If you want something simpler just use WireTap Pro and LineIn. No need for the complicated Audio Hijack Pro setup that Glenn describes. Audio Hijack Pro is awesome but complicated to use.

Cool! Thanks for mentioning WireTap Pro. It's been a while since I've done a survey of MacOS recording apps, so I'm glad to make its acquaintance. What with all the Podcast frenzy going on in the last year, I think I'll have to make a new survey of apps.
