BUG Labs - Canadian Credit Card with US Shipping Address doesn't work
I want the entire suite of Bug Modules but I live in Canada. I tried to order with my Canadian Credit Card with a US Shipping Address but as I suspected, it didn't work. Thanks to the fine folks at Bug Labs for their patience in dealing with my multiple emails on this subject! It's not the end of the world but it's a bit disconcerting to see that despite "free trade" and "globalization", things haven't progressed since I was a kid ordering software and other gadgets from the USA in the 1970s and 80s, i.e. it's still ludicrously difficult to get gadgets over the border. Can we have a Schengen like zone between Canada and the USA please?

One option...
While it may not immediately fix your ordering issue with Bug Labs, one option would be to head to Bellingham and get a Washington Mutual account.
They have a branch in the same complex as the Best Buy and Costco. The account is a free 'checking' account that comes with a Mastercard debit card. It treats your bank balance as a credit balance so as long as you have enough cash in the account, you can buy anything online with it. The Bellingham branch is the best place since they are used to Canadians getting accounts and will actually let you use the branch address for the card signup and will forward (for free) the card to your Canadian address when it comes in. I had originally set one up in Seattle but there was some issues when I needed to get a new card issued so I ended up just talking to a teller in Bellingham and they squared it all away.
The nice thing is that you can manage the account online too although the only pain is that you have to physically go to the bank to deposit more cash (or an ATM in the US).
As far as I could find, this was the easiest method to get a US 'credit card' that would work online.

Working on PayPal...
Roland - sorry that we haven't managed to make it work yet, but we are pushing to get PayPal up and running to avoid these kinds of problems down the road. I don't have an exact timeframe in place yet, but it's in the works!
