iPhone in Canada Rogers Data Plan Bingo

My guess for the iPhone in Canada plan from Rogers: $75 a month plus taxes and b*gus system access fee will include 1 GB of data (2GB would be much better but it's Rogers we are talking about and we can't expect them to be innovative :-( ), unlimited incoming and outgoing text and 300 minutes of voice calls to anywhere in Canada and USA. This plan will not include voice, SMS and data roaming to the USA. Roaming will still be billed at the current Rogers r*poff rates.

What's your guess (I am assuming all will be revealed tomorrow at 10a.m. after Jobs keynote!)????

I'll treat the commenter with the closest guess to a tasty beverage the next time they are in Vancouver!

Possibly. However, they do have the $7 data plan as well as the $10 unlimited incoming txt plan. I have a very slight gut twinge that they may honor those for the iPhone.

I'm guessing whatever existing voiceplan you want with a special $50ish "iPhone" data plan. The data will be unlimited but only for youtube, maps, and some sort of bogus rogers software. Third party apps that use data will cost you extra.

Rogers will continue to cripple innovation for Wireless in Canada and I will be very very sad.

i'd be very suprised if apple let's rogers put rogers' bogus software on the iPhone (but anything is possible)

Did you see the AT&T plan is $30 unlimited data? How far off will Rogers be? Plans are suppose to be announced in the next few days. http://snipurl.com/2ervc

Consumer Data Plan (must be added to qualified voice plan):
$30 - Unlimited Data (E-mail/Web), includes Visual Voicemail

Enterprise Data Plan (must be added to qualified voice plan):
$45 – Unlimited Data with personal and corporate e-mail, web, includes Visual Voicemail

Via a AT&T internal email leaked on the Boy Genius Report.

Let's hope Rogers is similar. It would be consistent with their $70 per subscriber monthly revenue targets. (voice plan + system access + sms etc)

I'm positive there will be some sort of unlimited data plan.
IT'll be horribly expensive, but it'll exist.

where unlimited has lots of restrictions

Oh, and it will be available on fido with per-second billing. Also, For Iphone only, no system access fee. Flat rate unlimited calling, with include vm and call display.

Only catch is that you  have to let ted rogers punch you in the face as hard  as he can. and you can't flinch. if you flinch, he get's to do it again.

lolz!

Hey guys,

Just a rumour, don't ask where i heard it, but Rogers might block wifi on the iphones to maximize on data plans.

FYI: Telus already has a unlimited data plan. They had a limited off for $15 but now its $30. Rogers will be similar if not worst.

so i doubt it will be blocked on the iPhone

...$100 inclusive, which will give you 5GB/mo data.  That's where I see it going.  And Rogers can't block WiFi; there are no custom iPhones for specific carriers.  They'll all have the same features the world over.

$100 inclusive? still have to add GST, PST and bogus system access fee? i hope not! i hope it truly is $100 inclusive!

imagine $20.00 monthly for a data plan, they will blow away bell / telus

29 days and counting till launch date

There is a petition online for Rogers to lower their data plan prices:

http://www.petitiononline.com/iPhone99/

Without a doubt an unlimited plan is necessary or else they are just crippling the iPhone for everyone. Check ou:

for more info

i would like: $50 for 2 GB of traffic / month and $100 for 8GB, what are you proposing in the petition?
