R package names can’t have underscores or hyphens:citation found
Per the previous blog post, I found the reference where it is stated that package titles shouldn’t contain underscores or hyphens but can contain periods:
“The mandatory ‘Package’ field gives the name of the package. This should contain only (ASCII) letters, numbers and dot, have at least two characters and start with a letter and not end in a dot.
